Health Benefits of Ginger Tea and Side effects

Ginger root is known for its medicinal properties and it is used in many traditional medicines. The healing benefits of ginger are mainly due to its volatile oils and the high oleoresin content. A lot of research has been going on to find out the herbal benefits of this herb and so far, the researchers have found many health benefits of ginger roots. Ginger is native to Asia, especially India and it’s been used in the traditional Indian medicines (Ayurveda) and Chinese medicines for more than three thousand years.

Ginger tea can be made of by peeling off and cutting ginger roots in thin slices. Then add the ginger slices in boiled water and cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea and enjoy it hot. You can add a little bit of lemon or honey just to enhance the taste of the tea.

Ginger tea should not be taken before any kind of surgery and should be stopped at least a week prior to the day of surgery. The high amount of ginger intake can cause stomach problems as well.

Ginger and Ginger Tea, both are very good for cancer prevention.
According to American Cancer Society Ginger Tea helps in preventing cancer.Gingerols, the active phytonutrients in ginger kill ovarian cancer cells. Ginger can also improve the condition if cancer is already present. Ayurveda has already recognized Ginger as an anti-cancer food. So, there's no such evidence that Ginger or Ginger Tea can cause cancer.
But if you still have any doubts then you should consult your doctor. Thank you.

Hello... Ginger contains two chemical compounds called Gingerol and Shogaol. Scientists believe these two active constituents do have the capability to cure ulcers. Anti-inflammatory activities of ginger are supposedly protective against the formation of gastric ulcers.
